    Job Description

    Job Summary
    The Components Facilitator leads an hourly workforce under the supervision of a Production supervisor.
    Providing day to day guidance of the workforce, they will ensure a safe work environment, production
    output goals are met, and work quality adheres to standards. The Components Facilitator will lead the
    TonkaFlo, Welding Shop (Frames and Housings), Paint and Machining areas.

    Key Characteristics
    ● Self driven with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks or projects at once.
    ● Leverage knowledge base in assigned areas to help workforce troubleshoot and solve problems
    they encounter in their work.
    ● Excellent verbal and written communicator, able to communicate with multiple levels and
    functions within the organization.

    Duties & Responsibilities
    ● Observes, follows and enforces all EHS rules; proactively communicate and address safety
    concerns. Lead safety talk standup meetings.
    ● Ensure quality work output from assigned areas.
    ● Assists with other departments as needed, backup to other facilitators as needed.
    ● Act as the first point of contact for production support. Communicate project status to
    management accurately and efficiently.
    ● Provide input to management on personnel performance. Coach and mentor employees.
    ● Assist with interviewing candidates. Manage new employee orientation to phase III, including
    training, drawing/scheduling access, SAP, etc.
    ● Support ongoing training of workforce, and assist management with skills model deployment.
    Offer suggestions for skills model changes to meet department needs.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
    ● Ability to wear PPE including safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs and safety shoes.
    ● Ability to work overtime as needed to meet department/plant goals.
    ● Comfortable speaking in front of groups and communicating with employees from engineering,
    management, and other functions to meet department/plant goals.

    Compensation - The salary range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity. Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range: $$32-$38 hourly.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Required:
    ● High School Diploma/GED
    ● At least two years of experience in a metal fabrication, paint, machine shop or in a custom
    assembly manufacturing shop. Working knowledge of one or more of the activities listed above.
    Preferred (if applicable):
    ● 2 or more years of experience working directly in metal fabrication (welding and machining in
    particular), coatings, or custom assembly work.
    ● Trade school certificate in applicable trade.
    ● Experience as supervisor, lead, foreman, etc. in manufacturing environment.

    Additional Information

    ● Must be able to perform work with appropriate PPE for work (safety toed shoes, safety glasses,
    bump cap/hard hat, etc.)
    ● Majority of day will be spent standing with some bending and fine motor work appropriate for
    work in a fabrication shop.
    ● Some sitting and computer work is required.
    ● Rarely, unassisted lifting up to 50 lbs. is required – nearly all heavy parts movement assisted
    with cranes/hoists and pallet jacks.
