    Compose.ly has partnered as an exclusive recruiter with a major online job training course provider seeking a writer with subject matter expertise in real estate to work alongside their in-house team in a part-time capacity. Our client is looking to hire a writer for 20 hours/week on an ongoing basis, with the possibility of scaling the contract up to full-time.

    Our client needs a seasoned real estate writer to work alongside their development team and other relevant stakeholders to create, maintain, and publish courses for real estate professionals seeking to obtain or renew their licenses. State-specific courses offered include pre-license, exam prep, post-license, and continuing education training.

    This role is for you if you…

    • Have experience developing training courses or continuing education content for real estate professionals.
    • Have deep experience and subject matter expertise in the real estate industry.
    • Know when collaboration is necessary and when independent work should suffice.
    • Have strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Can communicate and collaborate professionally and efficiently within a remote environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Creating and maintaining content in the client's online course catalog
    • Reviewing complex legal documents and statutes in order to translate the substance of these materials into accessible learning material for entry-level associates
    • Collaborating closely with the client's internal teams to build out the written text that accompanies training courses, including the creation of new courses and timely updating of existing courses following regulatory changes in the industry.

    Requirements

    • **** Bachelor's degree or higher
    • Real estate license (broker or agent) OR 10-year experience writing in the industry
    • ****Verifiable expertise in at least one of the following fields :
    1. Real estate law (with a JD)
    2. Real estate instructor or education program administrator (licensing or CE)
    3. Government agency OR regulatory compliance OR real estate commissioner office experience
    4. Commercial brokerage administration with an "Employing level broker” license (≥5-year experience)
    5. Property management administration with an “Employing level broker” license (≥5 -year experience)
    6. Residential real estate brokerage administration with an “Employing level broker” license (≥10 -year experience)
    7. Real estate license + property insurance experience
    8. CPA OR accounting background with specialty/experience in property taxation
    • Familiarity with professional online training courses for licensing and continuing education requirements purposes
    • Proficiency in written English (US spelling and grammar conventions)
    • Successful completion of our grammar, spelling, and writing assessments

    What would make you stand out

    • Verifiable experience in a variety of areas of brokerage practice including commercial, development, and title
    • Involvement with governmental aspects of the industry that will inform and enable the creation of regulated content
    • Any additional relevant certification

    Benefits
