Danimer Scientific is a biotechnology company committed to creating sustainable, biodegradable materials that reduce plastic pollution. We are seeking a Compounding Operation Technician to support hands-on production activities in our Winchester facility.

🌿 What You’ll Do

As a Compounding Operation Technician, you will play a critical role in safely operating and maintaining production processes while ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate compounding process equipment and utilities

Monitor and adjust process conditions (valves, tanks, piping, sterilization systems)

Accurately document batch records and production data

Maintain compliance with cGMP, SOPs, and safety protocols

Identify and report quality deviations or safety concerns

Troubleshoot process and equipment issues independently

Review production documentation for accuracy and compliance

Perform housekeeping and weekly area audits

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

Support training of new operators

You will have the authority and responsibility to stop production in the event of a safety or quality concern.

🎯 What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience

Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills

Strong communication and documentation skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Comfortable working in a regulated manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

4–8 years of manufacturing experience

Experience with plastics or compounding processes

Familiarity with manufacturing software systems

Physical & Work Requirements

· Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

· Ability to wear required PPE including hearing protection

· Exposure to manufacturing environments with moving equipment, airborne particles, and varying temperatures

· Ability to hear machinery alarms and distinguish sounds on the production floor

· Clear near and distance vision for computer and production tasks
