    JOB SUMMARY

    In accordance with agency Mission, Vision, Values, and Goals, the Residential Services Team Leader (Spring House) provides clinical guidance, supervision, and training for the Mental Health Technicians (MHTs) at Spring House and Gateway Accessible Housing. Provides assessment and treatment planning for residents assigned to the team, which includes residents at Spring House and Gateway Accessible Housing, and insures all written documentation is clinically appropriate, correct, and meets agency standards. Interacts with team affairs, attends meetings, and consults with the treating physicians and other members of the treatment team to provide quality care to the clients within Residential Services program. Reports directly to and works under the close supervision of the Director of Residential Treatment Services.

    PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

    Provides supervision and oversight for the MHT’s assigned to Spring House and Gateway Accessible Housing. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring that positions meet productivity and timeliness expectations, signing off on documentation, and that job duties are being performed consistently. In conjunction with and under the direction of the Director of Residential Treatment Services, completes introductory and annual performance appraisals, coaching, disciplinary action, hiring and termination for supervised team members.

    Completes clinical documentation to include, but not limited to: annual assessments, DLA-20, individual treatment plans, Diagnostic Review forms, and other initial and annual documentation for residents of Spring House and Gateway Accessible Housing according to Department of Mental Health guidelines and agency policies and procedures.

    Monitors the completion of and signs off on daily IRTS notes, conducting random reviews for QA/QM of notes. When clinically appropriate, directs service provision and documentation to occur for residents who are off site during overnight hours. Monitors program to ensure that residents are receiving care according to the IRTS model and that care is coordinated with the CPR program. Participates in program development and ensures programmatic service delivery. Ensures appropriate documentation of any billable services delivered according to agency guidelines.

    Completes weekly face-to-face and productivity reports and timeliness reports for MHT’s completing IRTS documentation and tracks on weekly basis, reporting to Director via email and in supervision. Tracks time off for supervised team members and works with Director to approve or deny PPL requests based on program needs. Completes weekly duplicate error and non-final-approved progress note reports and oversees corrections.

    Liaises with Director and Business Office staff to ensure that all HUD documentation is completed according to HUD guidelines. Is available to conduct site visits with licensure entities when they show up unannounced, contacting Director of Residential Treatment Services immediately upon their arrival. Coordinates housing for clients through communication with Transitional Housing CSS and Housing and Employment Coordinator.

    Schedules and monitors fire, tornado and other required safety drills. Attends Fire and Safety Committee quarterly meetings.

    Manages Spring House petty cash and seeks approval from Director of Residential Treatment Services for petty cash usage. Oversees the budgeting/financial management of resident funds being saved for future housing expenses according to program procedures. Liaises with business office regarding funds management.

    Rotates on-call responsibilities with Director of Residential Treatment Services and covers for Director as assigned (for reasons of vacation, illness, conference attendance, etc.). This may involve filling shifts if proper staffing cannot be found.

    Co-facilitates regularly scheduled all team meetings. Has 1:1 or group supervision with supervised staff 1X every two weeks, minimum.

    Follows all agency policies and procedures including emergency and corporate compliance

    policies/procedures 100% of the time.

    SECONDARY FUNCTIONS

    Tracks trainings for assigned team members.

    Participates in agency committees as assigned/interested.

    Assists in development of group curriculum under the direction of the Director of Residential Treatment Services.

    Conducts the orientation of new team members

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education:

    Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling or closely related human services field.

    Experience:

    Must have at least 2 years of experience working with the assigned population (prefer 3-4 years).

    License, Certification or Registration:

    Not required

    Special Skills:

    Thorough knowledge of current DSM

    Proven written/verbal communication skills (including accurate report writing)

    REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION

    Must become Privileged staff according to Medicaid guidelines to provide services to assigned population. Must acquire and maintain training related to job performance including, but not necessarily limited to: Agency Orientation, Departmental Orientation, Program Orientation, CPR training (every 2 years), First Aid training (every 2 years), Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (every 2 years), Infection Control, Medication training, Cultural Diversity (6hrs. every 2 years), and Documentation training. Must complete 16 hours per year with documented attendance of professional development/training or education related to case management, community support and to the special needs of serving adults with serious and persistent mental illness.

    Maintain good standing membership within agency Professional Staff as a Team Leader.

    Access to dependable automobile with adequate auto insurance in the event of needing to transport clients.

    DEGREE OF SUPERVISION

    Receives direct supervision from the Director of Residential Treatment. Treatment plans and assessments will require the physician's review and signature.
