    JOB SUMMARY

    In accordance with agency Mission, Vision, Values, and Goals, the CSS Supervisor provides clinical guidance, supervision, and training for Community Support Specialists assigned to them. Provides oversight and case management in consultation with team and insures all written documentation is clinically appropriate, correct, and meets agency standards. Interacts daily with team affairs, attends team meetings, and consults with the other team members to provide quality care to program consumers.

    PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

    Hires, trains and provides weekly supervision and training for CSS’s assigned. Participates in CSS’s performance appraisal. Completes all EMR reports and periodically review progress notes and treatment plans generated by the CSS’s.

    Responsible for directing program CSS staff and operations to ensure progress is being made toward individual treatment goals and objectives. Ensures that admission and continued stay criteria are followed as outlined by program guidelines.

    Maintains caseload of clients and provides 8-10 hours per week of appropriate case management services and follows all necessary clinical and documentation practices.

    Participates in and follows all agency and department policies/procedures regarding treatment and documentation practices, adherence to DMH and Medicaid standards, QA/QI procedures, and emergency procedures. Prepares and reviews the treatment and documentation practices of their assigned team including reports for duplicates, non-final approved, timeliness, etc.

    Acts as liaison between CSS and other services to include clinical departments, Business Office, Medical Records and other agency program areas and staff.

    Provides consultation/education for the community in regards to agency addiction recovery services. Maintains good relationship with agency referral sources and meets with them on a regular basis to ensure this relationship.

    Facilitates program, departmental and agency communication/operations through attendance at team meetings, all-staff meetings, inter-departmental consultation or committee/task team as assigned.

    Follows all agency policies and procedures including emergency and corporate compliance policies/procedures 100% of the time.

    III. SECONDARY FUNCTIONS

    Completes intake assessments as assigned.

    Serves on committees as assigned by supervisor.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling or closely related human services field.

    Experience:

    Must have at least 3 years of experience working with the mentally ill and/or substance abuse population.

    License, Certification or Registration:

    None required.

    Special Skills:

    Proven written/verbal communication skills (including accurate report writing)

    REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION

    Must acquire and maintain training related to job performance including, but not necessarily limited to: Agency Orientation, Program Orientation, CPR training (every 2 years), First Aid training (every 2 years), Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (every 2 years), Infection Control, and Cultural Diversity (3 hours annually). Must complete 16 hours per year with documented attendance of professional development/training or education related to case management, community support and to the special needs of assigned population.

    Access to dependable automobile with adequate auto insurance provides outreach.

    DEGREE OF SUPERVISION

    Receives one hour of administrative supervision each week with the Program Manager. Meets with Clinical Supervisor as needed.

    VII. POSITIONS SUPERVISED

    Clinical supervision of the CSS team.
