Treatment Team Leader ITCD
JOB SUMMARY
In accordance with agency Mission, Vision, Values, and Goals, the Treatment Team Leader provides clinical guidance, supervision, and training for the team assigned to them. Provides intensive case management in consultation with team and ensures all written documentation is clinically appropriate, correct, and meets agency standards. Interacts daily with team affairs, attends team meetings, and consults with the treating physicians and other members of the treatment team to provide quality care to the clients within the department.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
Hires, trains and provides clinical supervision and training for CSS’s assigned to their team. Participates in the staff’s performance appraisal. Reviews all clinical reports and progress reviews and progress notes generated by their assigned staff.
Coordinates all referrals into the ITCD program in coordination with the ITCD Therapist. Completes all annual assessments, treatment plans and all other required assessments and documentation for assigned consumers as outlined by program standards and regulations.
Provides oversight regarding the direct services to the department’s ITCD and rehab consumers. Direct services may include intensive problem-solving, case-management services, supported employment and crisis-intervention as needed. Assures that admission/continued stay criteria are met as outlined by program standards and regulations.
Participates in and follows all agency and department policies/procedures regarding treatment and documentation practices, adherence to DMH and Medicaid standards, QA/QI procedures, and emergency procedures. Reviews the treatment and documentation practices of their assigned team.
In coordination with the ITCD Therapist, will ensures that all ITCD Fidelity standards are met as outlined by SAMHSA in the General Organizational Index and by DMH standards.
In coordination with the ITCD Therapist, will provide community outreach and education to other agency departments to ensure consumers are referred to the ITCD program appropriately. This includes education to assigned CSS’ to ensure that they fully understand the treatment model.
Facilitates program, departmental and agency communication/operations through attendance at psychiatrist meetings, weekly staff meetings, inter-departmental consultation or committee/task team as assigned.
Follows all agency policies and procedures including emergency and corporate compliance policies/procedures 100% of the time.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
Provides consultation/education for the community.
Completes assigned assessments and treatment plans as needed to back up other Team Leaders.
All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling or closely related human services field.
Experience:
Must have at least 2 years of experience working with the assigned population (prefer 3-4 years).
License, Certification or Registration:
Preferred, but not required
Special Skills:
Thorough knowledge of current DSM
Proven written/verbal communication skills (including accurate report writing)

REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION
Must become Privileged staff according to Medicaid guidelines to provide services to assigned population. Must acquire and maintain training related to job performance including, but not necessarily limited to: Agency Orientation, Departmental Orientation, Program Orientation, CPR training (every 2 years), First Aid training (every 2 years), Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (every 2 years), Infection Control, Medication training, Cultural Diversity (6hrs. every 2 years), and Documentation training. Must complete 16 hours per year with documented attendance of professional development/training or education related to case management, community support and to the special needs of serving adults with serious and persistent mental illness.
Maintain good standing membership within agency Professional Staff as a Team Leader.
Access to dependable automobile with adequate auto insurance to make home visits.
Available to carry departmental pager on a rotating basis, respond to emergencies as needed which may require home visits, crisis placement, or hospitalization.
DEGREE OF SUPERVISION
Receives supervision from Program Director. Treatment plans and assessments will require the physician's review and signature.
