    JOB SUMMARY

    In accordance with agency Mission, Values, and Goals, this position provides supervision and oversight for the assigned program and staff. Assists with the direction and supervision of day-to-day operations within the department, ensuring effective, quality, and appropriate services are provided. Ensures appropriate clinical training is provided for the departmental staff. Ensures coordination of treatment and planning between clinical services and other departments of the center. Works closely with the Director in monitoring budgetary and utilization management, program development, and quality service provision to all clients referred to program.

    PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

    Hires, trains and provides supervision to competent staff. Participates and completes performance appraisals. Completes all EMR reports and periodically reviews these with staff, reviews progress notes and treatment plans as needed.

    Responsible for directing program staff and operations to ensure progress is being made toward individual treatment goals and objectives. Ensures that all admission/continued stay criteria are met and that intakes and assignments are completed appropriately.

    Ensures that client treatment, treatment plans, assessments, and progress notes/reviews comply with DMH, Medicaid, and accreditation standards. Ensures that the elements of client treatment are therapeutically appropriate. Participates in QA/QI procedures and the monitoring of the departmental services.

    Ensures that program meets 100% of budgeting expectations. This requires on a regular basis: the monitoring/reporting of staff productivity, the review of financial reports, and the reconciling of billings with documentation. Works cooperatively with Business Office and supervisory staff to ensure that all standards as set forth by funding sources and accreditation bodies are met.

    Ensure that all CIMOR authorizations are completed in a timely fashion and requests for additional information is completed at the time of the request.

    Completing all necessary reports to ensure staff compliance of required documentation standards. These reports are, but not limited to: duplicate services report, non-final approved progress note report, timeliness of service entry report.

    Facilitates program, departmental, and agency communications, operations, and supervision through attendance at team meetings, all-staff meetings, interdepartmental consultations, and assigned committees.

    Provides consultation/education for the community in regards to agency addiction recovery services. Maintains good relationship with agency referral sources and meets with them on a regular basis to ensure this relationship.

    Follows all agency policies and procedures including emergency and corporate compliance policies/procedures 100% of the time.

    SECONDARY FUNCTIONS

    Completes assessments and provides individual services for consumers when appropriate and/or needed.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education:

    Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or closely related field preferred, but not required.

    Experience:

    Must have at least 2 years of supervisory experience and at least three years of clinical experience with the department’s population.

    Licenses, Certifications or Registrations:

    LPC or LCSW license or QAP certification (CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, CCJP, CCDP) required.

    REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION

    Maintain licensure and/or credential requirements.

    Acquire and maintain trainings related to job performance including, but not limited to: agency-wide orientation, Non-violent Crisis Intervention (every 2 years), Infection Control, Cultural Competency (6 hrs, every 2 years), documentation, CPR training (every 2 years), First-Aid training (every 2 years). Must complete 16 hours per year with documented attendance of professional development/training or education related to departmental population, DSM, or other related clinical issues.

    DEGREE OF SUPERVISION

    Receives one hour of administrative supervision each week with the Departmental Director.

    POSITIONS SUPERVISED

    Direct clinical supervision of the assigned staff.
