  • Responsibilities

    Syndeo is seeking a Compressor Technician for a local equipment provider. This person will play a critical role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of air compressor systems and related equipment.

    ** Responsibilities:**

    • Installing and commissioning new compressor systems, including reciprocating and rotary screw compressors.
    • Performing preventive maintenance like oil changes, filter replacements, and system inspections.
    • Diagnosing and repairing faults in compressors, vacuum systems, and dryers.
    • Operating shop tools and equipment (grinders, welders, torches, etc.) safely and efficiently.
    • Ensuring all service is done according to OSHA regulations and site-specific safety requirements.
    • Maintaining clear records of service, inventory, and technical specifications.
    • Communicating effectively with customers to explain issues, recommend solutions, and build trust.
    • Collaborating with internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.
    • Making continuous recommendations for process and service improvements.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience with compressor systems (installation, troubleshooting, maintenance).
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Working knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA 10-hour safety certification required).
    • Ability to read and interpret service manuals, vendor guides, and technical documents.
    • High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
    • Comfortable working with tools, machinery, lubricants, and compressed air systems.
    • Proficient with computers and basic office software.
    • Valid Driver's License with an insurable driving record
    • Willing to obtain DOT status if not already obtained
    • Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening

    Travel Requirements:

    This position requires regular travel and overnight stays, typically 1–2 nights every other week (approximately 4–5 nights per month). Job sites are generally located 3–5 hours from the main office. Due to time constraints and the scope of work involved, overnight stays are necessary.

    A company-provided service truck is included with this role.
