    Job Description

     Provide strategic direction and administrative leadership to SGRE’s benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, 401k, voluntary benefits, life insurance, short and long term disability, 401k, FMLA and COBRA. Duties / Responsibility • Assists with the management of 401k plan and health& wellness plans, including but not limited to: ○ Addressing employee inquiries about their insurance or retirement benefits ○ Acting as a liaison between employee and insurance provider or bank as necessary ○ Maintaining benefits records ○ Making changes to plans as necessary • Responsible for maintaining data interfaces between payroll and benefits vendors, trouble-shooting issues, and recommending long term resolutions • Stays up to date on state and federal regulations concerning insurance and other employee benefits • May assist with open enrollment informational sessions presentations annually • Resolves problems or disputes regarding provision of enefits • Presents ideas for additional benefits to Compensation& Benefits Manager • Assists with paycheck deduction calculations • Contacts employees, when necessary, to resolve issues • Assist with layout / preparation of benefits guides and annual mailings • Assist with annual merit process and bonus processes • Other duties as assigned Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Exceptional proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook required • Proficiency in MS Word helpful • Must possess general knowledge of data interfaces, setup and maintenance • Exhibits ability to maintain relationships with insurance, other vendors, and internal department teams Professional communication skills, both verbally and inwriting • Exhibits solid organizational skills • Is capable of reading, interpreting, and explaining insurance invoices • Is able to translate legal, medical, and insurance related jargon into layman's terms for clarification purposes • Bachelor’s degree in Business or human resources related field is preferred • Previous work experience in HR or benefits is required Work Environment • Time will be spent in an office setting, interacting with other employees, with potentially some ability to work from home (depends on candidates abilities to self-direct work, maintain availability, and other factors) • Daily tasks will involve light physical activity, such as walking and standing.
