We are seeking a skilled Computer Security Engineer II to develop, maintain, and implement information security standards, procedures, and guidelines for mission-critical defense applications and databases. This role plays a key part in ensuring systems and databases remain secure from unauthorized access, detecting threats, handling disaster recovery operations, and solving complex security challenges within a DoD environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and implement information security protocols for applications and databases in compliance with DoD cybersecurity regulations.
- Ensure systems and databases are protected from unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats.
- Monitor security systems, identify vulnerabilities, and respond to security incidents.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for DoD projects.
- Implement security frameworks and protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cybersecurity best practices into defense systems.
- Oversee disaster recovery and incident response operations , ensuring rapid resolution of security threats.
- Apply advanced cybersecurity principles, theories, and concepts to complex defense projects.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior cybersecurity personnel.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Secret Clearance: TS preferred
- 3 years' experience with bachelor's degree or 1 year experience with Master's Degree or higher
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with classified defense systems and DoD contracts.
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government).
- Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and CI/CD pipeline security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CISM.
Education/Certifications:
- Master's Degree or higher with 1 year experience or bachelor's degree with 3 years' experience.
