Job Description

DEVOPS ENGINEER

CSI is seeking an experienced DevOps engineer who will collaborate with management, product owners, developers, and engineers to plan, develop, and implement solutions to optimize and automate business and technical processes.

Ideally a candidate would be able to create and maintain CI/CD pipelines, have experience implementing and supporting public cloud applications, experience working in a production Kubernetes environment, and be willing to help with implementation of configuration management and infrastructure as code solutions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with developers and engineers to design, deploy, manage, and document CI/CD pipelines

• Support and maintain on-prem Rancher and Azure AKS Kubernetes environments

• Assist developers with containerization of in-house developed applications

• Automate and optimize deployment of applications and infrastructure both on-prem and in the cloud

• Contribute to establishing a DevOps culture at CSI through training, mentoring, conducting SCRUMs, and leading planning sessions

• Perform vulnerability remediation and risk management

• Willingness to provide bench depth for enterprise applications such as Microsoft SCOM, SCCM, Splunk, etc.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Self-motivated

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Impressive troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Ability to take high-level requests, break them down to digestible tasks, and own them to completion

• Passion for maintainable code, documentation, and code review

• Experience operating, deploying, and supporting Kubernetes

• Experience managing Docker and container deployments

• Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines

• Experience interacting with SOAP/REST APIs to perform CRUD operations

EXTRA CREDIT:

• Experience with the HashiCorp stack, especially defining infrastructure-as-code with Terraform

• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet

• Experience working in both Microsoft and Linux environments

• Experience developing or supporting ASP .NET and C# applications

• Experience managing data in RDBMS and/or NoSQL databases

• Experience working in a regulated and secure environment

• Experience working with VMware vSphere
