    Job Description

    OVERVIEW:

    • Our client currently seeks a Sr Java/J2EE Spring and GCP Developer to join our team.

    LOCATION:​

    • Flexible with opportunity to work remotely or with our California, South Africa, Romania teams.

    SUMMARY:​

    As the Sr. Java/J2EE Spring and GCP Developer you will;

    • Create solutions by developing, implementing and maintaining Java based micro services, components and APIs.
    • Define system objectives by analyzing user requirements and envisioning system features and functionality
    • Design and develop service components helping the client deliver on business and technical goals
    • Recommend system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and off-the-shelf alternatives
    • Complete systems development by coordinating requirements, schedules and activities, contributing to team meetings, troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments
    • Support the client's customers by developing documentation and utility tools
    • Experience in Python is a plus

    TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT:

    • Java, Spring/SpringBoot, Google Cloud Platform, Web API skills, API Design, Object Oriented Design, Debugging, ORM Frameworks, Messaging Systems, AppEngine, DataStore, Oauth, PostgreSQL Elasticsearch, golang, python, typescript.

    BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

    • 5+ years of overall Java experience
    • 3+ years of working experience in Spring/Spring-boot
    • 2+ years of working experience in Agile development methodologies
    • 2+ years of working experience in Test Driven Development (TDD)
    • 2+ years of working experience in NoSQL (datastore preferred)
    • 2+ years of Web services including Web service tools, like openAPI.
    • 2+ years of working with a major Cloud Services provider.

    EDUCATION:

    • Undergrad degree in Computer Science or equivalent with relevant work experience
