POSITION SUMMARY
The Rooting & Hardening Technician will follow the production plan as directed by the Lead and/or Production Manager. This will involve strictly following SOP's to plant, root, fertigate, harden, sort, and prepare in vitro shoots for sale as well as employing sterile technique, preparing fertigation fluid, capturing data for production-related activities, maintaining a clean workspace, monitoring lab supplies, and other lab maintenance duties as directed.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education and Experience: HS diploma required, Bachelors of Science in horticulture, plant science, or biotechnology preferred but not required. No experience required, 1-2 years experience with plant tissue culture, nursery production, plant propagation, a sterile laboratory setting or some combination thereof is strongly preferred.
Computer Skills: Should be comfortable entering information in a spreadsheet or form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sit for long periods of time. Delicate, close-up work with hand tools for long periods of time. Good eyesight (may be corrected), Reach overhead or use step stool. Lift/Carry 1-25 lbs. Other Physical Requirements: Must wear PPE including but not limited to lab coat, gloves, eye protection, and face mask.
