JOB POSITION DESCRIPTION:
SugarBird is seeking motivated and reliable Back of House (BOH) team members to support kitchen operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role works closely with the expediter station to help coordinate and prepare food and beverage orders for timely service, while also assisting with hands-on food and drink preparation and general prep work to keep the kitchen organized and service-ready. Team members will gain experience across multiple areas, including the dessert and ice cream station, and may assist with fulfilling beverage orders through the beer draft service window during peak hours and large events. The ideal candidate is a strong team player who can multitask, stay organized under pressure, and maintain quality and cleanliness standards while contributing to an efficient and energetic BOH environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting, especially during events and peak hours
Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a willingness to support multiple BOH stations
Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure
Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices (or willingness to learn)
Comfortable with hands-on food and beverage preparation, including desserts and draft beverages
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and reaching
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to carry at least 30 lbs.
Strong communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to reach, bend, squat and lift while on the shift
Six months of full-service restaurant experience preferred
High School Diploma/ GED
Able to multitask and organize
