    Job Description

    The LIGHTING SPECIFICATION SALES SPECIALIST (TECHNICAL SALES) will be responsible for maintaining an active specification pipeline and GROWING KEY SPECIFIER RELATIONSHIPS WITHIN THE SW WASHINGTON AND OREGON MARKETS.

    The ideal candidate will be confident in their ability to develop successful strategies for growth in a technical industry. You will be responsible for selling and promoting products for manufacturers represented by Concordia Lighting.

    KEY OBJECTIVES:

    · Under limited supervision, plan, promote, and present product for specifiers.

    · Act as subject matter expert to advise customers on the best lighting, controls, and other electrical solutions that we represent.

    · May act as technical expert within the organization to contribute to the development of technical presentations and product strategy.

    · Attend industry events, technical training classes, and professional organization meetings.

    · Maintain relationships with existing customers and manufacturers while growing new connections and prospecting to grow the Concordia footprint.

    · Engage in industry and customer events to develop direct specifier relationships with a responsibility to help ensure sufficient ROI.

    · Provide monthly a detailed account of all training, competitive intelligence, product requirements, and pertinent information.

    KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

    We are looking for a disciplined, reliable, self-starter who can perform effectively as a member of a collaborative, professional team.

    • Bachelors degree preferred. College degree or equivalent/applicable experience
    • 1 + Year of Commercial Lighting experience
    • Strong collaboration and teamwork required
    • Ability to manage multiple projects with firm deadlines
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills required
    • Strong communication, organizational, time and territory management skills required
    • Sales experience preferred
    • Experience with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) required
    • Experience with a CRM
    • Overnight travel is required

    • Ability to present technical products to various size groups
