We are hiring a Concrete Superintendent to lead field execution for concrete scopes in the Reno, NV market, with a strong preference for experience delivering structural concrete work. The Concrete Superintendent is the person accountable for turning the plan into clean, predictable field results.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead field operations for concrete work from mobilization through closeout, including layout coordination, sequencing, daily planning, and production tracking.
    • Run structural concrete scopes such as foundations, footings, grade beams, walls, elevated slabs, columns, and suspended systems (as applicable to the project).
    • Plan and manage pour cycles including forming plans, rebar installation coordination, embeds, anchor bolts, sleeves, blockouts, and pre-pour checklists.
    • Coordinate with project management on look-ahead planning (2-week and 6-week), manpower plans, material lead times, and constraint removal.
    • Drive safety performance by enforcing client’s safety expectations, conducting JHAs, leading tailgates, and ensuring compliance with site-specific requirements.
    • Maintain quality control: verify lines, grades, dimensions, tolerances, rebar placement, concrete placement and finishing, curing, and punchlist completion.
    • Manage subcontractors and vendors (rebar, forming systems, pump, batch plant coordination, testing/inspection) and hold them accountable to schedule and standards.

    • Own site communication: coordinate with owners, GCs, inspectors, and other trades to reduce rework and keep momentum.
    • Support closeout: as-builts, turnover documentation, final punch, and demobilization.

What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)

    • Establish consistent daily planning rhythm (morning plan, end-of-day forecast, next-day constraints).
    • Improve schedule reliability on concrete activities through tighter pour readiness and better coordination of embeds/rebar/forms.
    • Reduce rework and inspection failures with clear pre-pour checklists and quality hold points.
    • Build a strong field culture: safety, accountability, and clean execution.
