    TITLE: Accounting Manager INDUSTRY: Software LOCATION: San Fernando Valley

    We are actively recruiting an Accounting Manager for a well-established and rapidly growing Software company in San Fernando Valley. Apart from profit, our client emphasizes philanthropy, diversity, and collaboration.

    The Accounting Manager will report directly to the Accounting Director and apart from primary Accounting responsibilities, can expect team collaboration and some exposure to Tax. No previous Tax experience is required, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to round out their experience to become a strong Controller in the future.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Overseeing the work of the Staff Accountant and ensuring that all major projects, month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time.
    • Evaluating, developing, and improving department controls, systems, and procedures to increase accuracy and efficiency.
    • Ensuring that all accounting processes align with GAAP and current financial legislation.
    • Analyzing financial data and creating reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties, such as vendors or lenders.
    • Maintaining accurate and complete financial records and participating in audits or reconciliations, as needed.
    • Assisting other departments as they develop strategies, establish objectives, and make decisions which could have a financial impact on the business.
    • Keeping informed about the latest developments in the accounting & finance industry.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    • 5 years’ experience in Accounting (preferably 2-3 years public with Big 4 Firm & 2-3 years private industry)
    • CPA
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Supervisory or Management experience preferred.
    • Strong understanding of accounting, finance, and management principles.
    • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred.
    • High level of efficiency and accuracy.
    • Willingness to comply with all local, state, federal, and company regulations.
    • Attention to detail and ability to analyze large amounts of data.
