The Custom Events team works with Dow Jones’ top clients to produce high quality custom events. As the Custom Program Lead, you will work closely with the team’s editorial director to pitch and develop topics and themes for custom panels in partnership with the client. You will recruit and manage speaker outreach and communications for custom events, both in-person and virtual. As Custom Program Lead, you will work closely with the production team to ensure all custom interviews and sessions are produced to the highest standards. Candidates with strong organizational and writing skills, resourcefulness and the ability to work with and manage client relationships are preferred.
Work with custom editorial director to pitch and develop topics and themes in partnership with the client
Research, identify and confirm speakers for our standalone custom events and custom sessions adjacent to newsroom-led events
Write and develop agendas for custom sessions and events
Manage all associated follow-up details and communications, making sure both internal and external parties are kept updated on program developments in a timely manner
Manage all speaker relations for events, whether virtual or in-person
The ideal candidate will have at least three years of conference programming experience with B2B or B2C brands, with a proven track record of success
Must be passionate about content, live events and conferences
Must possess strong writing and communication skills
Must have demonstrated ability to respond to deadlines with urgency
Must be able to effectively manage competing priorities and creatively problem-solve within short time frames
Must demonstrate a high level of professionalism while working with clients, key stakeholders and potential speakers
Must possess a high level of initiative, self-motivation and also be an effective team player
