  • Responsibilities

    This full-time, on-site Convention Services Manager role, based in Towson, MD, is responsible for overseeing the planning and flawless execution of conferences, meetings, and events hosted at the hotel. (Focus on Corporate, Association, SMERF with Rooms attached) The manager will collaborate closely with clients to understand their objectives, coordinate with all internal departments to deliver seamless service. Additional responsibilities include managing event budgets, timelines, and logistics, while proactively identifying and resolving issues throughout the planning and execution process. Responsibilities: • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients once events are contracted, overseeing all planning and execution details • Plan, coordinate, and execute corporate, association, and SMERF events with guest room blocks • Collaborate with internal departments (sales, catering, banquets, culinary, AV, front office, and housekeeping) to ensure seamless event delivery • Manage event timelines, budgets, logistics, and detailed event documentation • Lead pre-event planning, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up to ensure client satisfaction • Proactively identify, communicate, and resolve issues throughout the event lifecycle • Ensure all events meet brand standards, operational requirements, and client expectations • Maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and positive referrals Qualifications: • Demonstrated expertise in Convention Services and Conference Services, ensuring all events meet the highest standards • Proficiency in Meeting Planning and Event Planning to effectively coordinate, organize, and execute events of all sizes • Strong commitment to Customer Satisfaction, with the ability to build and maintain positive client relationships • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously • Prior experience in hospitality or event management is required • Prior experience with CI/TY is highly valued Compensation: $52,000 - $60,000 yearly
