    JOB DETAILS:

    The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) is an executive-level role, with the holder being responsible for the development and execution of the commercial strategy and supporting the sustainable growth objectives of the organization. The role involves activities relating to sales, marketing, revenue management, network performance and ancillary revenue. The role will involve domestic and future international business. Meeting the revenue targets, optimizing the RASK and significantly enhancing the ancillary revenue will be the key performance indicators.

     The position reports to the CEO and is primarily concerned with ensuring the integrated commercial success of the organization. The role requires a combination of domain knowledge of aviation with strong marketing and business development skills.

    JOB PURPOSE:

    The Chief Commercial Officer has the overall responsibility of every facet of the Commercial Department; the staff, the performance and overall results. The CCO is responsible for revenue production, sales targets, and the profitability of all sales promotions and programs, through the management of traffic, yields and costs of sales.

    KEY COMMERCIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Determines the objectives of the Commercial departments
    • Responsible for the structure, competence and efficiency of the Commercial organization
    • Ensures that company meets all government requirements in the commercial area
    • Ensure effective coordination with Airport Services/ Finance for Planning and execution

    KEY FUNCTION WISE ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Establishes selling priorities and oversees the sales performance of the company.

    • Responsible for budget in the commercial area including Costs of Sales, Distribution and Other associated costs.

    • Liaise with Trade partners and ensure an effective sales channel by continuously exploring incentive plans, protecting the Larger revenue goals of the airline without diluting quality of the products.

    • Provide strategic & tactical direction to Commercial departments (sales, marketing, advertising, distribution and revenue management).

    • Responsible for the branding strategy and image of the airline.

    • Be aware of Industry standards enhancing customer touch points and continuously provide feedbacks for quality and training purposes.

    • Responsible for coordination and publishing of inflight communication Media /Passenger Interactive systems on board the aircrafts.

    • Provide inputs to any company issues which impact revenue or cost.

    • Proposes and develops business solutions to achieve profitability.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum 20 years of relevant experience
    • Excellent aviation knowledge coupled with strong marketing and business development skills
    • Previous role as a senior leader in Commercial with a low-cost carrier
    • Graduate, MBA in Sales / Marketing preferable but not essential if with proven track record
