    What is the Opportunity?

    Located in North York, this position is responsible for directing the efforts and activities of a team aimed at maintaining and deepening relationships with existing clients and developing relationships with new client groups. The role is also responsible for identifying and pursuing business opportunities that align with the objectives, goals and overall long-term strategic goals of the Company.

    RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

    Understand and analyze market trends in order to identify future opportunities

    Participate in solution design, costing and pricing processes

    Investigate and report on local competitive activity and market conditions

    Enable account management team to maximize the time that they spend on revenue generating activities

    In conjunction with the president, lead and/or participate in the development and implementation of sales plans and marketing strategies by product type, customer and region in line with the corporate objectives

    Ensure continuity and maintenance of good relations with major accounts in order to increase sales on a profitable basis, including travelling to customer locations

    Act as the primary liaison with other departments such as Production, R&D, and Executives to ensure business objectives are met

    Providing leadership and/or assistance in various project teams on products in various phases of development in order to optimize product launch and sustained product uptake

    Liaise with Product Development regarding the research, recommendations and execution of the introduction of new innovative concepts, ingredients, delivery formats or packaging designs to develop new and existing products

    Review and approve the instructional details and labels, cartons and instructional directions for products prior to production to ensure marketing attributes, product information and regulatory requirements are accurate

    Respond to issues or concerns to provide technical or regulatory expertise to the executive management, Quality Assurance, Production, R&D and customer enquiries and complaints

    Liaise with other corporate functions to source and support new innovative, cost effective or quality improved product introductions

    Conduct recruitment, orientation and on-boarding activities of new employees, as well as coaching mentoring, evaluation and career development of existing staff

    Lead by example acting at all times in compliance with Company policies and procedures

    Prepare for and attend all scheduled meetings, both internal and external

    Required Qualifications:

    Dynamic, highly motivated individual

    Proven sales track record and strong industry relationships

    Previous experience in the health & beauty industry essential;

    Post-secondary education in applicable field required;

    5-10 years previous experience in a sales/leadership capacity required
