OB/GYN – Immediate opening (Full and Part-Time opportunities)
The OBGYN provides health care to patients in the public health services clinics in Raleigh, NC.
Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:
- Screen, diagnose and treat patients
- Document all care in Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Provide preventive care, education, family planning care, prenatal care, STD care, and acute illness management
- Provide and supervise OB GYN ultrasound and non-stress tests
- Provide support services to the mental health teams as needed for continuity of client care
- Perform procedures as indicated
- Supervise Advanced Practice Practitioners, certified nurse midwives, and ultrasound technician, according to NC Medical and Nursing Board guidelines
- Provide leadership to the prenatal and family planning programs, in collaboration with primary care physicians, Program Managers and Nurse Supervisors
- On call duties: Provide backup call to the nurse triage line on a rotating basis with other providers. Physician does not provide in person care after clinic hours.
All Physicians on staff are expected to:
- Complete charges
- Respond to calls from patients
- Case management as indicated by patient needs
- Monitor care and quality improvement activities
- Consult with the front desk, nursing, and other staff
- Participate in staff meetings
- Engage in innovative projects to improve the community and individual health
- Teach students and residents
- Train new and continuing staff in procedures and protocols
- Collaborate to develop and maintain protocols and procedures
- Respond to the emergency/inclement weather shelter
The Basics (Required Education and Experience)
- Doctorate in Medicine
- Three years’ experience and must have completed appropriate residency
- Medical licensure/certification in specialist field (e.g.Family Medicine or Obstetrics & Gynecology Medical Board Certification after completion of Residency)
- NC Medical Board licensure, DEA registration, Hospital credentialing
Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience)
Candidates with at least (1) year OBGYN experience, and/or experience in public health are encouraged to apply.

About This Position
Work Schedule: Mon - Fri 8:00 AM - 5:15 PM; some evenings and weekends as needed
Hiring Range: $145K - $260K
