Clinical Informatics Specialist
My client, a well-established Behavioral Health center is expanding and seeking a Clinical Informatics Specialist to join their team.
Job Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
- With critical input from appropriate clinical and administrative sources, conduct a comprehensive analysis of clinical and organizational needs related to technology systems.
- Identify, design, and evaluate existing and potential new clinical information systems and applications, providing recommendations for improvement based on the desired workflow.
- Maintain full responsibility for backend EMR design, build, and implementation, utilizing technical expertise to ensure smooth functionality of the software
- Actively implement changes necessary to interfaces to maximize intended efficacy and user productivity,
- Provides technical support, including diagnosing and rectifying application errors and troubleshooting all identified technological and workflow issues
- Design and deliver training materials to educate users about information technologies, including system use, security and standards.
- Lead and participate in the procurement, customization, development, implementation, management, evaluation, and continuous improvement of clinical information systems
- Other duties as assigned to support the organization’s mission
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare informatics
- Must have experience in implementation and support of clinical systems, including system development and maintenance
- Must have experience working with Health 360 Software
- Must have excellent organizational skills to handle the coordination of multiple projects and work independently to meet critical deadlines.
- Must have excellent attention to detail, particularly in the exploration and implementation of solutions to solve complex technical problems
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate, advise, consult and negotiate with all levels of internal and external staff to diplomatically resolve differences.
- Must be able to analyze data, develop logical conclusions and develop recommendations for solving problems where an established procedure does not exist.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare and/or information sciences is strongly preferred (but not required)
