Data Scientist (Remote)
My client, a financial services company is seeking a full-time Data Scientist to join their team. .
About You:
The Data Scientist, you will:
- Perfect our underwriting through offline modeling and rely on engineering to productionize your models
- Produce conversion funnel analyses and predictions based on data from customer behavior tied to our KPIs
- Generate reports on customer behavior, funnel analysis, and financial data that will be leveraged to drive company direction
- Present the “story” behind the data to leadership
- Coordinate and advise on our fraud detection, prevention, and analysis framework
- Work with the financial team to identify leading signals tied to our bottom line and improve financial projections
- Recommend and advise on infrastructure, architecture, and tooling to better support data collection, analysis, and access at the company
- Orchestrate the democratization of data across the company
- Report directly to leadership
- Ultimately own and drive data analytics at the company
Requirements:
- 4-6 years of professional experience working as a data scientist, data analyst, machine learning engineer, or equivalent role
- Desire to build a data driven culture and environment
- Excellent written and oral communication in telling the story behind the data
- Inquisitive and curious nature when it comes to looking at raw data
- Autonomous and self-sufficient once given an objective and access
- Organized and is sure to document steps taken to produce analyses for later use
- Enjoys collaborating with different departments to achieve the same goals
