    Payroll Supervisor (Resort or Casino experience a plus)

    My client is seeking a Payroll Manager who will supervise Payroll representatives, ensuring that all processes are executed appropriately and in a timely manner. Optimizes the contribution of the team through coaching, counseling and implements workable solutions to business issues/problems with minimum referral to management. Conducts work planning, estimation, and prioritization to optimize performance of team and works with Payroll Manager to define standards and reusable approaches for Payroll operations. 

    Activities:

    • Develop best practices to improve efficiency of payroll processes.
    • Oversee employee payroll accounting, transactions and reporting activities.
    • Ensure that payroll is processed timely and accurately.
    • Assist in payroll calculations, deductions, insurance coverage, wage garnishments, tax filings, and child support.
    • Maintain employee payroll records up-to-date and accurate.
    • Prepare employee wage summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leaves, retirement savings and benefits.
    • Provide support in tax calculation and filing for employees.
    • Address payroll related queries and requests from employees.
    • Review and recommend improvements to existing payroll procedures.
    • Analyze payroll problems and provide appropriate resolutions.
    • Follow and enforce federal, state and local laws.
    • Provide assistance to payroll staffs and conduct performance evaluations.
    • Coordinate with HR and finance teams to carry out payroll processing.
    • Assist in audit operations and implement audit recommendations.
    • Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
    • Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.

    Required:

    • At least one year of payroll experience.
    • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
    • Analytical ability is required in order to summarize data for reports and find solutions to various administrative problems.
    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
    • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
    • Polished appearance and demeanor; Excellent customer service skills.
    • Ability to obtain & maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
    • At least 18 years of age.

    Preferred:

    • At least three years of previous payroll experience in hospitality environment.
    • Knowledge of tip compliance protocol.
    • Working knowledge of using Workforce Ready (Kronos).
    • Working knowledge of Experience with Processing payroll using UltiPro.
    Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting
