  • Responsibilities

    Core Job Responsibilities:

    The A/V Technician will be responsible for the setup, operation/engineering and removal of the A/V equipment and systems within the Hotel.

    Primary Job Duties: – Includes, but is not limited to:

    • Set up and install equipment such as microphones, speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, audio mixing boards for events and functions such as concerts, sports events, meetings and conventions, presentations, and news conferences.
    • Set up and operate sound equipment for live entertainment events (bands, comedians, theatrical events).
    • Confer with meeting or event director to establish cues and directions.
    • Ensure equipment is installed according to designated layout.
    • Diagnose and correct AV system problems.
    • Send in equipment for repairs as needed.
    • Clean AV equipment and store properly.
    • Ensure the stage storage and integrity of data.
    • Ensure all Resorts World core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied.
    • Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
    • Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Required

    • At least two years of experience including audio, video, computers, lighting and rigging for live events.
    • Working knowledge of troubleshooting skills with sound and lighting.
    • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
    • Polished appearance and demeanor.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Ability to obtain & maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
    • Must be at least 21 years of age.

    Preferred: 

    • Working knowledge of digital control systems and automated lighting.
    • Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
