    Payroll Manager – 100% remote

    My client is looking for an experienced Payroll professional who can contribute to a high growth environment. The right candidate will have extensive experience and understanding of domestic multi-state and international payroll processes.

    The Payroll Manager will oversees all company payroll administration and is responsible for managing all tasks necessary to accomplish the payroll processing objectives in order to ensure compliance and timely payments. The responsibilities also include maintaining relationships with external auditors and state and federal agencies. The majority of this role will be spent coordinating and managing the functions of the global payroll department. Responsibilities also include understanding existing challenges, identifying trends, and aiding the business in process improvements. The Sr. Payroll Team Lead will also be expected to process some international and domestic payrolls as required. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL LIVE IN THE PACIFIC TIME ZONE

    Payroll Management

    • Ensure that payroll deadlines are met for 12+ countries for payroll cadences that range from semi-monthly, biweekly and monthly.
    • Directly manage U.S.A. payroll and local/country payroll processes; ensuring compliance, data integrity and provide guidance and support to the Payroll staff.
    • Audit payroll reports to insure accurate payments to employees.
    • Review and implement additional best practice processes and policies to ensure continued compliance for all payrolls.
    • Provide guidance and stay current on complex payroll and tax issues.
    • Work closely with Stock Administrator to process equity related transactions via payroll.
    • Partner with HR team to keep all payroll records accurate and up to date.
    • Responsible for accurate monthly, quarterly and annual filing requirements.
    • Support external and internal audit requests as required.

    HRIS Systems Management

    • Develop and facilitate system processes to ensure ADP is capturing job data globally.
    • Create monthly reports and ad hoc reporting as required.
    • Responsible for auditing monthly record of employee information in payroll/HRIS systems.
    • Work with Human Resources team to ensure that business changes are reflected in the payroll systems.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 5-7 years of payroll experience, and at least 2 years managing payroll function.
    • Experience with international and US payroll tax compliance and multi-state payroll practices
    • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, ADP, and or other HRIS
    • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or other Payroll certification highly preferred
    • BA/BS in Finance/Accounting or a related field
    • Successful track record of leading organizations through implementations and upgrades of payroll solutions
    • Excellent verbal and written communication
    • Ability to deal appropriately with confidential information
    • Ability to build effective relationships with people in all areas of the business
    • Must be a team player, and be able to prioritize and multi-task in high sense of urgency environment

    Salary $85K to $95K
