  • Responsibilities

    Core Job Responsibilities:

    • Ensure all venues are well-maintained and cleaned prior to and after an event.
    • Quickly and efficiently retrieve all materials needed for setup of special events.
    • Display proper care, movement and storage of all equipment such as tables, chairs and catering equipment.
    • Assist with inventory control of catering equipment and furniture.
    • Provide prompt, courteous service to banquet members and guests while maintaining a friendly and pleasant atmosphere.
    • Maintain safe sanitary conditions in all banquet service areas and for all banquet service equipment.
    • Safely drive and maintain vehicles used for transporting event materials.
    • Demonstrate full knowledge of banquet areas and keep banquet service areas properly stocked.
    • Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
    • Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Required:

    • At least six months of previous experience as a Banquet Porter in a similar or related field.
    • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
    • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
    • Polished appearance and demeanor.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Ability to obtain & maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
    • At least 18 years of age.

    Preferred:

    • Working knowledge of Delphi, Micros, Kronos and Meeting Matrix.
    • Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
