WE ARE SEEKING AN EXPERIENCED SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER FOR GRADES K-6 TO JOIN OUR TEAM AT OUR SPECIAL PURPOSE PRIVATE SCHOOL IN KITTERY.

Kittery Kids' Academy is a special purpose school in Kittery, ME which provides individual support services to 10 students who have mental health, behavioral and educational challenges.  As a Teacher at Kittery Kids' Academy you will make a real difference while working with a great team!

Duties include developing IEP’s, planning the curriculum, preparing instructional materials, and implementing a variety of effective teaching strategies.  Positions starting at $45,000-$53,000 per year.

This is a full time, school year position following a school year calendar with a 6 week ESY summer program. 

Qualifications

IF YOU...

• HAVE A COMPLETED BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN EDUCATION OR RELATED FIELD,
• HOLD A CURRENT 282 SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER CERTIFICATION (TARGETED NEED, CONDITIONAL, OR PROVISIONAL STATUS) FROM THE STATE OF MAINE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, OR ABLE TO BE CERTIFIED IN THE STATE OF MAINE,
• Have 1-2 years of teaching experience,
• Hold a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and proof of auto insurance,
• Love teaching, have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
