    Connex Family Services is seeking Registered Behavior Techs to provide ABA services to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. These clients are in Mathews, VA and surrounding areas such as Middlesex or Gloucester. We are opening a 2nd local office and are looking forward to growing with you!Position Summary: The Behavioral Technician will provide clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to children with Autism and related developmental disabilities in the home, community, and school settings. The Behavioral Technician will collect data on programs, assist with parent training, and assist the Behavior Analyst and Lead Behavioral Technician. Hours can be daytime, but also after school and evenings. We are looking for both part-time and full-time candidates.

    Behavior Tech Responsibilities:

    Follow the prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols.

    Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.

    Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with client’s individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols.

    Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

    Follow and record data for prescribed toilet training protocols.

    Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.

    Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with client’s individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols.

    Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

    Utilize safe & appropriate handling procedures when working with clients.

    Maintain client confidentiality.

    Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.

    Collaborate with a treatment team including client, parents and caregivers, outside professionals, Lead Behavioral Technician, and co-workers.

    Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required training.

    Registered Behavior Tech Requirements:RBT is required (Registered Behavior Technician) credentialed by the BACB (Behavior Analyst Certification Board), High school diploma required minimum education. Those on route for the BCBA or the BCaBA are highly encouraged to apply now. -BS, BA, or B. Ed. (or higher) and some experience working with special needs individuals is a plus, as well as ABA experience. CPR and HIPAA certifications required (less than 2 years old) and you will be reimbursed for these trainings if you need them.Also the RBT must have:-Ability to take and use professional growth feedback-Willingness to travel and work in client homes-Ability to communicate effectively within a variety of situations -Ability to work independentlyAmenities:
