JOB TITLE: Service Engineers- 1st & 2nd Shift

PAY RATE: $50.00-$70.00

LOCATION: Cambridge, MA 02139

DURATION: Temp to Perm

HOURS: 1st Shift (Standard, waiting on official hours) 2nd Shift Monday- Friday, 2pm-10pm

DESCRIPTION:

Seeking a Service Engineer for a position based in Cambridge, MA. The individual in this role will provide support for automated processes in Research. The individual will work with method developers, scientists, and operators to ensure instruments are functioning to manufacturer’s specifications. The ideal candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in the industry, specifically working with integrated systems, custom automation/skids, Hamilton liquid handlers, and chromatography solutions. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to quickly master new processes and the drive to be part of a dynamic, fast paced, and highly motivated team.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Provide troubleshooting support for automation issues in production suites to minimize manufacturing downtime
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance procedures on lab equipment including HighRes systems, Hamilton liquid handlers, Gilson, and custom skids
• Support the production with testing and system validations including use of Artel MVS verification
• Create and maintain SOPs and reference guides for instruments and integrated automation systems.
• Collaborate with scientists, operators, and engineers to create training programs that teach users how to use our automated systems

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE:

• Requires a BS in engineering/biotechnology
• Minimum experience required of 2+ years in industry, focused on troubleshooting lab automation for both device and software
• Broad knowledge of automation platforms required, such as liquid handlers, automated storage devices, complex integrated systems, and chromatography
• Experience operating and maintaining instrumentation and integrated systems
• Requires hands-on lab work
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to effectively collaborate effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional matrix environment
