  • Responsibilities

    An assistant operations manager fills in for the operations manager when needed and is responsible for maintaining business operations in the absence of the operations manager. They also assist the operations manager by giving constructive feedback to improve the operations of the business. Assistant operations managers oversee daily activities, such as staffing, scheduling, and customer relations. They audit and place orders for equipment or supplies needed by the business, as well as track and report on budget, costs, and income. The Operations Manager reports to the Vice President of Operations and has daily communication with customers. Here are a list of responsibilities:

    Interact with customers to schedule appointments, answer questions and provide initial information.

    Maintain records that account for all equipment and supplies in vehicles and warehouse.

    Work closely with customers to maintain satisfaction and to identify and correct communicated problems with service.

    Maintain open and regular communication with employees and the customers.

    Manage a dispatch center that is responsible for all incoming/outgoing communication and managing work orders and special projects.

    Qualifications

    Operationally Strong – highly organized and can confidently manage multiple projects at once.

    Excellent editing and proofreading skills.

    Strong Communicator – must have excellent written and oral communication skills, well-developed problem-solving skills, and a high attention to detail.

    Autonomous – works well with a team but also is successful running solo.

    Fast Moving, Flexible and Adaptive – ability to handle both routine components and other less scripted elements of this role.

    Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and comfortable using data to make decisions.
