    POSITION PROFILE:

    The Director of Digital Analytics & Insights is part of the Omnichannel DTC team working across our dynamic consumer brands within Knoll. You will play an essential role in driving the digital transformation agenda for our brands and be a part of driving improvements that span across analytics, insights, and tracking tools.

    We are looking for a highly versatile, data driven, and digitally savvy professional to work across DTC efforts, including ecommerce and retail. This individual contributor role will be at ease working with large volumes of data and has the ability to influence the decisions of senior business leaders. You must be a strong communicator and be able to translate analysis into executive-facing documents.

    The Director of Digital Analytics must be a highly motivated self-starter, who can thrive in a matrix organizational structure. This person is detail and deadline-oriented and can work collaboratively with a talented cross-functional network to report progress, co-develop strategies, and share campaign insights, and consistently monitor performance to ensure media campaigns are running smoothly and efficiently.

    ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.
    • Quality check data inputs and file shared documents in an extremely organized manner, which may include product strategy decks, monthly KPI reporting, competitive analyses, and product/event postmortems.
    • Collect, process, and analyze metrics which requires technical knowledge of how data is extracted, strong analytical skills, and the ability to forecast results with limited information.
    • Build forecasting models using historical data along with forward-thinking assumptions and provide thoughtful analyses for planning.
    • Bridge the gap between traditional media research and online measurement by educating the broadcast sales team on how to interpret 3rd party online research, define audience and engagement metrics, and analyze industry trends.
    • Calculating audience growth and traffic projections for business development initiatives • Evaluating research applications and reporting solutions/services • Gathering information and preparing for primary research studies (focus groups, usability testing, one-on-one interviews).
    • Create and distribute digital reporting deliverables and presentations, tailoring insights according to the respective audiences within the business.
    • Partner with the team to create key performance indicators and new methodologies for measurement.
    • Prepare and deliver business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks.
    • Analyze historical and segmentation data (including customer, products etc) to identify trends and insights.
    • Provide audience projections across digital platforms.
    • Design, develop, and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc. that will support business needs.

    Required Skills

    • BA/BS degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field is preferred.

    Required Experience

    • 8-10 years of professional experience in a digital analyst/data analyst/statistical analyst role
    • Experience within an omnichannel (ecommerce & retail) business.
    • 5+ years of experience conducting analysis and data mining using Excel.
    • Strong familiarity with Google Analytics is needed.
    • Preferred experience extracting and processing data using SQL.
    • Any HTML/CSS knowledge is a plus.
    • Preferred experience with one or more major data visualization tools including Tableau / Power BI, etc.
    • Experience leading mid to large-scale analytics projects with BI solutions / tools.
    • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills and ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
