    Flexion is looking for a Technical Release Manager to work on a long-term consulting project on a 100% remote basis for our well-known insurance client. Flexion is direct with this insurance client and there are no implementation partners.

     

    Technical Release Manager

     

    Duration: 50 weeks 

     

    Remote position

     

    Technical Release Managers are responsible for developing, managing, and organizing releases. They collaborate and coordinate the implementation activities; focus on dependencies and relationship management; delivering products by bringing software and/or infrastructure as an integrated release package or solution. TRMs ensure integrity of pre-production and production environments. They create and own release processes; are central knowledge point of products’ environment. TRMs identify efficiencies in the release processes, propose automation solutions or improvements and implement them. They develop and manage release schedules by ensuring planned milestones are met in a timely manner. TRMs emphasize on customer experience, efficiencies, cross-functional dependencies, compatibility and implement the releases accordingly.

     

    ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    RELEASE MANAGEMENT (75%):

     

    • Accountable for creating, managing and maintaining the specifics of Release Processes and Schedules.

    • Collaborate with leadership and customers to understand their perspectives of balancing speed and risk.

    • Identifies and analyzes risks, conflicts and impacts within and across multiple releases and work with project teams to mitigate issues.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain high-quality deployment artifacts as they move through the entire release lifecycle.

    • Responsible of all release activities within the implementation of a given project:

      • Prepare implementation plans, review with project teams and stakeholders including contact lists, communications, back outs, and production verifications.
      • Gather application, component (infrastructure) data and dependencies required for releases.
      • Execute production deployments and implementation plans during the production readiness phase.
      • Communicate implementation plans, release statuses, issues and resolutions to stakeholders and leadership in a timely manner.
      • Lead RCA and post-implementation review meetings, gather and coordinate implementation issues’ resolutions and communications.
      • Accountable for developing process improvements and training of release processes to stakeholders.

     

    RELEASE ENGINEERING/AUTOMATION (25%):

     

    • Identifies improvement opportunities, and develops and implements automation solutions to improve process times and increase delivery speed.
    • Foresight to anticipate potential problems, innovate and implement new automation/engineering solutions.
    • Influence parallel development strategies including branching, merging, and source code management.
    • Automating deployment workflows including pre-release, release, and post-release activities.
    • Design and develop solutions to support continuous delivery.

     

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

     

    • 5+ years of experience required in Release Management.
    • 3+ years of experience with scripting languages (Python/Ruby/Shell), JS, Java, APIs.
    • 3+ years of experience in developing solutions using Gitlab, Octopus, Jenkins, Ansible and/or Terraform.
    • 2+ years of experience with Change Management and in using ServiceNow as a service management tool.
    • Experience in creating large-scale implementation plans, managing and coordinating them with multiple system integrations and dependencies.
    • Strong engineering experience in DevOps and Continuous Delivery providing automation solutions.
    • Experience in multitier, service-oriented and microservice architecture.
    • Experience with AWS, GCP, IaC, application servers (JBoss, Tomcat, WAS), Oracle, Linux & Windows servers.
    • Experience working in SAFE or Agile environments (Sprints, Kanban, etc.), in creating user stories in JIRA and in using Confluence.

     

    DESIRED SKILLS:

     

    • Experience in virtualization and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
    • Experience with any release orchestration tool.

     

     

    REQUIRED SKILLS: 

    • 5+ years of experience required in Release Management.
    • 3+ years of experience with scripting languages (Python/Ruby/Shell), JS, Java, APIs.
    • 3+ years of experience in developing solutions using Gitlab, Octopus, Jenkins, Ansible and/or Terraform.

    The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $135,000 annually, Flexion also offers a comprehensive benefits plan to our employees.

  • Qualifications

    MINIMUM EDUCATION:

    • High school graduate or GED equivalent. 

    • Associate or Bachelor degree in Health Information Management (or similar program) from an accredited program, preferred.

    REQUIRED LICENSES:

    • Medical Records and Health Information Technicians.

    • CCS, RHIT, RHIA or CPC certification required.

    • RHIA/RHIT - new grads considered (must obtain certification within 18 months of hire, CCS or CPC certification within 36 months of hire).

    • In lieu of certification or eligibility for RHIA/RHIT certification, candidates with a minimum of 2 years of acute care or ambulatory surgery center coding experience will be considered with the stipulation the CCS or CPC credential must be obtained within 24 months of hire. RHIT/RHIA - new grads considered (must obtain certification within 18 months of hire/CCS or CPC certification within 36 months of hire). 

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Proficient in ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS coding and DRG optimization;experienced with electronic medical record.

    • Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of the organization effectively; possess high level of organization and ability to work both independently and with members of Medical Staff, Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists, and other hospital staff.
