    As a Client Technologies Engineer at Sun Country Airlines Information Technology Department, you will provide technology expertise and support for our hardware and software related to end user infrastructure, such as laptops, PC, peripherals, operating systems and related software.  This includes, but is not limited to, design, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, reporting and upgrading hardware or services. The Engineer will be expected to maintain a high level of customer service by resolving customer support issues within SLA guidelines and with professionalism. It is imperative that this position always operates with the highest integrity and safeguards confidential information learned while performing assigned duties.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Contribute in the analysis, design, testing, documentation, standardization, implementation/configuration and support of desktop hardware and software
    • Responsible to be the hands-on subject matter expert for desktop automation
    • Optimize services to achieve enhancements in performance, capacity and availability while simultaneously achieving cost optimization
    • Work closely with various teams to formalize and implement a framework around security related to end user technologies.
    • Support the growth of the business by enabling business strategies and continuous improvement of security practices
    • Leads or participates in projects and meets established budgets and timelines
    • Proficient with implementation of end user infrastructure environments utilizing industry standards and best practices
    • Ensure solutions are designed for scalability, security and supportability
    • Participate in security roadmap and strategy, as well as required security testing and official audit functions and be responsible for development of plans to remediate
    • Keep skills current, eager to learn and stay close to technology trends within assigned portfolio.
    • Adhere to, promote and advance SCA Security Policy, Standards, and Procedures
    • Required to strictly follow established ITIL repeatable processes – Incident Management, Change Management, Event Management, Problem Management (including Root Cause Analysis)
    • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills required
    • Can receive and assimilate feedback in a professional manner
    • Translates complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences
    • Mentor and coach less experienced team members. Any other duties assigned by management

    Required Skills

    • Three or more years’ experience with desktop hardware and software configuration, administration, automation, and design
    • Three or more years’ experience with Microsoft tools: SCOM, SCCM, etc.
    • Demonstrated experience creating and managing Windows 10 images for automated mass deployments
    • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting desktop hardware and software
    • Experienced at documenting solutions to develop repeatable troubleshooting steps
    • Experience with virtual desktop technologies such as RDS, WVD, Citrix, etc.
    • Experience with maintaining BIOS/firmware technologies as needed
    • Experience with security solutions and tools such as drive encryption, virus scan, etc.
    • Experience with PowerShell or related scripting
    • Experience with performance management tools (Memory/CPU/disk space) and resolving related issues
    • Experience with ServiceNow
    • Experience administering and troubleshooting O365 related software components
    • Experience with Active Directory and clear understanding of best practices
    • Experience with configuring and troubleshooting network printers
    • Experience administering SharePoint sites
