  • Responsibilities

    POSITION SUMMARY: 

    The Production Manager will be responsible for production planning, assigning work and implementing processes and procedures. 

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Plan and establish work schedules, assignments and production sequences to meet goals. 

    • Supervise shop employees.  

    • Develop and implement training plans to increase employees’ skills and capabilities. 

    • Inspect materials, product, and equipment to detect defects or malfunctions prior to leaving the production floor. 

    • Ensures that project results conform to quality and time and stipulations. 

    • Ensure all employees adhere to production and processing standards. 

    • Assist IT with conducting preventative maintenance and troubleshooting. 

    • Work with the Operations Manager to ensure production of various products are meeting customer demands. 

    • Travel domestically and internationally 10-30% per year. 

    • Develop and maintain relationships with employees at all locations. 

    • Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with established safety and company requirements.

     

      

    OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Knowledge of processing plant flow during production. 

    • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. 

    • Knowledge of machines, tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance. 

    • Promote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organization’s goals. 

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

     

     

    WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

    Work is performed in an office and uncontrolled atmosphere.  Exposure to harsh conditions—such as:  dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures—for short periods of time is possible.  All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.   

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.   While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear.  Ability to lift and carry 10 lbs. on a regular basis is required.   

     

    KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: 

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Management or Industrial Engineering preferred.   

    • Five (5) or more years of experience in production planning and implementing processes and procedures is required.   

    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills are required.  

    • Excellent communication skills; both oral and written is required. 

    • Must have high level of leadership acumen. 

    • Must be teamwork orientated. 

    • Understanding of inventory management is required.  

    • Exceptional attention to detail. 

    • Excellent organization and planning skills. 

    • Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills. 

    • Computer skills and an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows based programs are required. 

    • Requires effective time management skills, personal conduct, and change management abilities. 

    • Must have a valid driver’s license. 

    • Ability to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other business contacts.

  • Qualifications
    • Responsible for the accuracy of the estimate: Review drawings, specifications and all other construction documents and inform the Preconstruction Director, the Project Executive and others involved in the project of construction related problems, completeness of information, and potential risks involved in the project. 
    • Participation in the development of the construction schedule, staffing requirements, logistics plans, construction materials and methods, risk assessments, and cost estimates for the project team and clients during the preconstruction phase. 
    • Participation in the value engineering process on projects. 
    • Support Business Development in proposal presentations, aids in building client and Architect/Engineer relationships. 
    • Attend project interviews and presentations as required
    • Conduct preconstruction project meetings with clients, design teams, and Consigli project teams. 
    • Assist the purchasing and estimating departments with evaluating and analyzing subcontractor proposals and in preparation of subcontracts. 
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
