    Precise Systems is a professional services company currently working for the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, and U.S. Air Force. Our core competencies include systems engineering, program and project management, logistics, information technology and cyber security, and software development services. We were founded in 1990 and since our establishment we have been providing cutting edge solutions and support to our warfighters. We understand and provide expert consultation on network and weapons systems acquisition programs, maintenance/modernization programs, and sustainment programs.

     

    We are currently seeking Financial Analysts to support our customer in Newport, Rhode Island. THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD. The Financial Analyst will: 

    • Provide financial management support services to NUWC Newport Code 34
    • Use Navy – Enterprise Resource Planning (N–ERP) system to generate and maintain Project Structures
    • Track expenditures charged to projects and generate reports
    • Collect project financial data by running various reports in N-ERP
    • Compile and summarize project cost data for direct labor and non-labor cost
    • Prepare funding document acceptance documentation in Automated Funding Document Acceptance (AFDA)
    • Prepare analyses of the Program’s Reimbursable Authority and Carryover projections, versus fiscal year targets assigned by department management. Analyses shall compare expected reimbursable funding against reimbursable authority and identify shortfalls or surpluses in terms of carryover levels against the target.
    • Research and identify root cause and corrective actions associated with rejected or suspense financial transaction records such as undistributed labor, unapplied overhead, and erroneous labor or non-labor postings
    • Prepare various financial reports and funding projections as required

     

    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

    • Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years relevant experience
    • Accuracy and strong attention to detail; effective at organizing, prioritizing and multi-tasking
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Excellent written skills
    • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, Power Point, Outlook)

    • Accounting System Interfaces (ASI)
    • Advanced Interactive Management Technology Center (AIMTC)
    • Automated Funding Document Acceptance (AFDA)
    • Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)
    • NAVSEA Enterprise Planning System (NEPS)
    • Workload Acceptance and Assignment Process (WAAP)

    • Assist assistant superintendent, project superintendent, and project manager with daily and weekly tasks including daily reports, daily safety walks, weekly quantity reports, and weekly schedule updates
    • Understand the project schedule and the critical path
    • Review content for the short term plan
    • Participate in the quality program including attending meetings, performing inspections, and verifying materials
