  • Responsibilities

    The Assembler 2 position will train on 1st shift, and transition to 2nd shift when training is complete.  1st shift is Mon-Thurs 6am - 4:40pm, and 2nd shift will be Mon-Thurs 4:45pm-3:15am.

    Essential Duties:

    1. Assembly of various component parts to produce a quality brake valve portion.

    2. Use of hand tools and power tools to assemble parts.

    3. Use of blue prints, test codes, procedures, and documentation.

    4. Understand and comply with all quality and safety rules, guidelines, policies, and procedures.

    5. Perform Hazardous Waste management duties as necessary. 

    6. Must understand and support all Quality, Product Safety, and Health/Safety/Environmental/Energy policies.

    7. Must understand and adhere to all relevant statutory or regulatory compliance obligations.

    8. Must understand, support, and adhere to the Integrated Management System policies, procedures, and instructions.

     

    Required Skills

    1. Technical Capacity
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
    • Knowledge of generally accepted best practices and theory.
    • Good mechanical skills
    • Knowledge of shop use of measuring devices.
    • Ability to complete disassembly process without destroying parts.
    • Basic knowledge of quantitative methods/statistical procedures and graphic skills.
