Job Description:

The total loss adjuster is responsible for assessing and evaluating insurance claims related to total losses of vehicles or buildings. They investigate the cause and extent of the loss, review policy coverage, gather relevant information and documentation, and determine the fair settlement amount based on their findings.

Responsibilities:

Investigating and assessing total losses of insured properties

Gathering and analyzing relevant information and documentation

Reviewing insurance policies to determine coverage

Calculating fair settlement values for total loss claims

Negotiating with claimants and policyholders

Compiling detailed reports of findings and evaluations

Ensuring accurate and timely settlement of claims

Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, and claim evaluation processes

Effective communication and negotiation abilities to interact with claimants and stakeholders

Excellent investigative and analytical skills to assess total losses accurately

Attention to detail to review documentation and policy terms thoroughly

Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple cases simultaneously

Relevant work experience in insurance claims adjusting or a related field

Multi-line Texas Adjuster's license
