SIGNING BONUS We are looking for an experienced construction sales/estimating representative to join our team. ($90k Base + commission).

A commercial specialty trade contractor is seeking an experienced Salesperson to work with our new and existing clients to close $4-5mm in the construction business. This position reports to the sales manager and compensation includes a generous base and commission on all closed business.

While simple estimating and proposal writing will be required, the position is ideal for someone who is knowledgeable about construction and can work with general contract clients and end users to close business, then successfully pass the job onto our PM team.

Our products are unique but not complicated and the right candidate will definitely achieve $100k income in the first year. With experience and unlimited growth, this will double over time and is not capped. The average project size is $50k and projects can reach over $1 and 2mm. Also, salespeople do not manage projects in our business.

Responsibilities:

• Work with clients, estimators, and our manufacturers to propose and close plan and spec or solution-oriented projects to General Contractors, Architects, and Owner clients.
• Win and close business.
• Promote transition of sales to our PM team, supplying them with basic job information and quote.
• Work on the next sale!
• In-office only, at least to start, with some outside-office client visits.
• You will spend time in training about the products and services of the business.

Requirements:

• 3-5 minimum experience as a commercial trade estimator or salesperson. Architectural products like doors, t-bar, drywall, and other finishes are particularly desirable.
• You have a great attitude + have your sh*t together.
• High aptitude for basic math and geometry.
• Working knowledge of Excel.
• Additional software: Word, Outlook, Adobe PDF.
• A diploma or certificate in the construction area, trade experience, or similar is helpful but not required.
• Must have reliable transportation, insurance, and a current driver's license.
• Must be fluent in English (writing, speaking).
• Reliable, punctual, professional, organized, and courteous.
• Ability to work independently, self-starter.
