SUMMARY: This is an Amazing opportunity for a travel asistant PM. All travel expenses paid. Recent Civil engineering grads with strong internships encouraged to apply! ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER (Traveling) and approvals for MAJOR covid proof contractor in the lab space. Lab experience preferred BUT not required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains project RFI and Submittal registry and tracks each through to closure
• The APM will be an integral player in the management of the flow of information between the general contractor, the owner and other project stakeholders and help with design assistance and approvals process.
• Provides regular RFI and Submittal status updates to project stakeholders
• 50% travel nationally onsite to lab related sites across US and 50% in office.
• Project design
• processing of payment request and change orders
• Ensures that all appropriate documents are posted to the project database and provides assistance to vendor as needed
• Reviews the final soft copies of documentation, reviewing completion and adherence to A / E comments
• Tracks and validates approvals of Hard Copy documentation from project stakeholders
• communicates with super/ runs meetings etc

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

• 0-5+ years of construction management experience preferred
• Must be able to travel 50%+
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Effective organizational and communication skills
• Strong judgment and flexibility
• Experience with large-scale construction is a plus or internship
• Experienced in working with multiple leads across various disciplines to solve problems and improve processes
