Key Identifiers for the Position
Seeking a qualified professional with strong leadership, management, and communication skills to coordinate design and construction activities and facilitate interaction with third-party agencies and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs). This individual will support a Third-Party Lead in ensuring effective collaboration and progress tracking across stakeholders.
Essential Job Duties
Assist in coordinating with city, county, state agencies, and utility providers.
Serve as a representative when interacting with private engineers, contractors, government agencies, and the general public.
Oversee activities between developers/contractors and third-party stakeholders.
Help develop and maintain reporting mechanisms to monitor third-party coordination progress.
Provide updates on ongoing coordination activities and milestones.
Participate in third-party coordination meetings in various settings, including virtually, on-site, or at external offices.
Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and action items; follow through to ensure completion.
Act as a liaison between utility companies, contractors, and internal project teams.
Attend coordination meetings related to utility design, engineering, and construction; provide insights on stakeholder needs and ensure compliance.
Facilitate communication between various internal teams and departments.
Support project teams in logistics and third-party interface planning.
Prepare and review technical documents and project correspondence.
Review and verify compliance with general project requirements, design criteria, and contractual obligations.
Compile and submit regular reports summarizing third-party coordination activities.
Create presentations highlighting key accomplishments, current efforts, and challenges in third-party engagement.
Participate in regulatory discussions and represent project interests in public forums.
Promote collaborative engagement and foster productive stakeholder relationships.

Project Management Software: Prolog or equivalent PMIS

Scheduling Tools: Primavera P6 or similar

Professional Experience & Qualifications
Experience:
10+ years of experience in third-party coordination, preferably with agencies or jurisdictions within a major metropolitan area.
Experience navigating regulatory processes and coordinating with utilities and transportation agencies.
Competencies:
Strong knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and permitting processes.
Experience handling multi-agency communications and coordination in complex environments.
Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Education and Training
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related technical field (required)
Master’s degree (preferred)
Certifications & Registrations
Preferred: Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE)
Optional certifications: PMP, LEED, AICP, PMI-SP, or other relevant credentials

Flexibility to work varied shifts and travel to field or office locations as required

Remote: Mondays and Fridays
Onsite: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
