Construction - Division 8 Operations Leader / Branch Manager (Jacksonville, Florida)
National Search | Relocation to Jacksonville, Florida

Ready to stop running someone else's projects and start building your own operation?

We are conducting a national search for an experienced Division 08 construction professional who is ready to take the next step in their career and build a North Florida operation.

You may already be a Branch Manager.

Or you may be the person inside a larger architectural glazing, curtain wall, storefront, or building envelope contractor who is already leading major projects, people, clients, and financial outcomes but has not yet been given the opportunity to run the business.

    This is that opportunity.

An established specialty contractor is expanding its presence in North Florida and is seeking a proven Division 08 leader to build and lead its Jacksonville operation.

You will not be starting without support. You will have the engineering, fabrication, financial resources, industry relationships, and operational infrastructure of an established organization behind you.

Your responsibility is to build the market, the team, and the operation.

WHAT YOU WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

    • Build and lead the North Florida Division 08 operation.
    • Develop, and lead estimating, project management, and field talent as the operation grows.
    • Develop relationships with general contractors, construction managers, developers, architects, and other key industry partners.
    • Oversee estimating, project execution, scheduling, field operations, and customer relationships.
    • Build and manage backlog while maintaining appropriate margins and operational performance.
    • Participate in major pursuits, contract negotiations, preconstruction, design-assist, and strategic planning.
    • Establish the operational discipline and accountability required to consistently deliver profitable work.
    • Ultimately operate the Jacksonville branch as a business within an established organization.

WHO WE WANT TO TALK TO:

We are less concerned with your current title than what you have actually been responsible for.
    You may currently be a:

    • Branch Manager
    • General Manager
    • Operations Manager
    • Regional Operations Manager
    • Project Executive
    • Senior Project Manager
    • Senior Preconstruction or Estimating Leader

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES:

You should bring significant experience with commercial Division 08 work and understand how projects move from pursuit and estimating through procurement, fabrication, installation, and closeout.

    Your experience may include:

    • Curtain Wall
    • Storefront Systems
    • Architectural Aluminum
    • Architectural Glazing
    • Commercial Doors and Entrances
    • Windows
    • Exterior Façade and Building Envelope Systems
    • Architectural Openings
    • Design-Assist
    • Design-Build
    • Specialty Contracting

Most importantly, you understand that running a successful operation requires more than knowing the technical work.

You know how to lead people, earn client confidence, protect margin, solve problems, develop business, and deliver.

    WHY YOU WANT THIS OPPORTUNITY

If you have spent your career helping build someone else's branch, region, or book of business and are ready to have greater ownership of what you create, this deserves a conversation.

You will have the opportunity to build a team and market presence in one of Florida's growing commercial construction markets without giving up the resources and stability that come from joining an established organization.

This is not simply the next project. It is the opportunity to build the operation that delivers the projects.

Relocation to Jacksonville, Florida is required. Candidates throughout the United States will be considered.
