    Job Description

    AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Construction Engineering III in Oakland, CA.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Manages documents throughout all phases of a project.
    • Responsible for overall project administration in area of document management (home office and field).
    • Oversees internal/external document review process.
    • Assists with the creation and documentation of requests to destroy records.
    • Maintains proper document configuration management in support of engineering and construction.
    • Interfaces with project engineering and construction staff to inform of status and track resolution of project issues. Provides input to weekly project status reporting.
    • Applies sound judgment and experience to effective leadership of the project information management function on a large project, multiple projects, or a group.
    • Delegates, supervises and evaluates work of support staff.
    • Provides necessary training to support staff. Assist in obtaining the Safety & Security Certification for transit and transportation projects by managing the documents, assembling reports and performing field verification.
    • Assist the Resident Engineer in their duties.
    • May telecommute.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a Construction Engineering related occupation.

    Position requires experience in the following:

    1. Review, manage and track project record documents on rail transit, transit stations and transportation projects by using specified database software.
    2. Track project progress and update design documents.
    3. Primavera P6, MS Project, MS Excel, Bluebeam, Procore, Oracle CM 13, PlanGrid, MS Office, Sharepoint, Adobe and AutoCAD.
    4. Reviewing test results for rail transit projects for startup, Safety and Security Certification.
    5. Safety and Security Certification Documentation Process
    6. Reading and interpreting design drawings and specifications on rail transit and transportation projects.
    7. Accurately measuring progress of work, contract deliverables on rail transit and transportation projects in order to review and approve schedules, project status reports and payment requests.
    8. Developing project-specific filing structure and document control procedures, including implementing into required electronic document management systems (EDMS).
