We have been retained by our client, a growing Federal General Contractor in the Chicago, IL area, to find an Estimator. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for various federal construction projects, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.

Duties:

• Develop detailed cost estimates for federal construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and documents to determine scope and requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary data for accurate estimating.
• Prepare and present cost proposals and bid packages to clients and stakeholders.
• Track and maintain historical data on costs and pricing trends to support future estimates.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, preferably with federal or government contracts.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and cost estimation techniques.
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools such as Bluebeam, Procore, or similar platforms.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
