Construction Estimator - Commission Basis KC’s Improvement & Construction Co., Inc. has been serving the Triad for over 40 years as the region’s preferred design-build contractor. We specialize in custom renovations, additions, and structural improvements with a focus on quality craftsmanship and client satisfaction. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Estimator to join our team on a commission-only W-2 or Independent Contractor basis. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys estimating residential projects and is driven by performance-based income. Responsibilities: As a Commission-Only Estimator, you will: • Conduct site visits to gather measurements, photos, and project details. • Prepare detailed and accurate estimates using company tools and software (JobTread, Chief Architect, etc.). • Present proposals to clients and assist with selections as needed. • Collaborate with project managers and designers to ensure estimates align with cost and project goals. • Follow up on proposals to support client decisions and secure contracts. What We Provide: • Qualified homeowner leads (no cold prospecting required). • Access to JobTread estimating system, templates, and historical data. • Office support for scheduling, documentation, and client communication. • Branding, marketing, and 40+ years of local reputation to help you close. Compensation: • This is a commission-only role. You will earn a percentage of gross profit on signed contracts. • Typical range: 3–5% of Contract Value, depending on project type and volume. • Average contract value: $75,000–$150,000. • Estimated annual potential: $80K–$150K+ , based on performance. Qualifications: • 5+ years of residential construction, estimating, or design/build experience. • Strong knowledge of remodeling, building codes, and structural components. • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple estimates at once. • Possess excellent mathematical skills. • Ability to do a material take-off and compile detailed specifications and budgets. Compensation: $80,000 - $150,000 yearly average earnings
