This is a full-time, on-site role for a Construction/Renovation Estimator specializing in Residential Renovation. The position is located in the Greensboro--Winston-Salem--High Point area. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for performing quantity take-offs, managing costs, preparing and analyzing budgets, and ensuring accurate construction estimates. Benefits Include: • PTO • 7 Paid Holidays • Company vehicle during work hours • Company-supplied cell phone • Salary plus a generous commission • $80,000 - $130,000 potential average earnings Responsibilities: • Furnish accurate and clear quantity takeoff information to provide a detailed list of materials and assess the total construction costs • Calculate construction materials, product costs, labor, and time to estimate overall cost for construction projects • Revisit previously submitted proposal and budgets with clients • Collaborate with the construction project manager to oversee and coordinate the bid process for vendors and subcontractors • Examine specifications, blueprints, proposals, and construction documents to understand the project as a whole • Prepare estimates, written proposals, budgets, costs, and updates for clients and project managers • Inspect the construction site to collect necessary client requirement information • Manage all aspects of estimating remodeling projects, including design coordination, estimating, billing, and execution • Create accurate construction cost estimates and timelines • Present detailed estimates and work breakdowns for clients and internal teams • Coordinate with office staff and field crews to allocate labor and resources • Build and maintain a reliable network of subcontractors and negotiate pricing • Use estimating software and project management tools to organize and track progress • Complete job-related paperwork and maintain proper documentation for all projects Qualifications: • Three years of experience in the construction industry - project estimating or construction management is needed • Possess a Bachelors’ degree in civil engineering, construction management, accounting, or related field • Comprehension of research methodology, accounting, data and risk analysis, and estimation metrics is crucial • Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) certification from the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE) is preferred • Stellar communication, project management, and time-management skills are crucial • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and construction estimating software • Critical thinking, analytical skills, and very strong math skills are required • 3–5+ years of experience in residential remodeling or construction estimating • Experience with cost estimating software preferred • Familiarity with project management platforms (JobTread or similar is a plus.) • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Proven negotiation and client interaction experience • High attention to detail, organization, and time management • Positive attitude, professionalism, and a team-oriented mindset • Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to travel locally • Must reside in or be within commuting distance of Greensboro, NC • Must be authorized to work in the US to be considered for this position Compensation: $80,000 - $130,000 potential average earnings
