Field Inspector – Potomac Interceptor Program
Location
Project Sites throughout the Potomac Interceptor Program
Full-time field assignment
Experience
Minimum 2 years of construction inspection experience
Experience with sewer rehabilitation, utilities, civil infrastructure, or heavy construction preferred
Work Schedule
5 days per week in the field
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily field inspections of sewer rehabilitation construction activities.
Verify contractor compliance with project plans, specifications, permits, and safety requirements.
Maintain daily inspection reports and project documentation.
Monitor construction quality, materials, workmanship, and progress.
Coordinate with resident engineers, contractors, and DC Water representatives.
Document deficiencies and track corrective actions.
Assist with quantity verification and progress reporting.
Support testing, commissioning, and project closeout activities.
Availability
Immediate or within 1–3 months
Compensation
Up to $67/hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Preferred Qualifications (All Positions)
Candidates with experience in one or more of the following are highly desirable:
Sewer rehabilitation
Large-diameter interceptors
Wastewater collection systems
Water and wastewater infrastructure
Trenchless technologies (CIPP, sliplining, pipe bursting, etc.)
CMAR or Design-Bid-Build project delivery
Construction management and inspection
Utility coordination
Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or GIS
OSHA safety training (Field Inspector preferred)
