Construction Field Superintendent

Alexandria, MN | Full-Time | $75k–$110k

We’re partnering with a respected general contractor to add a Field Superintendent to their team. This role will oversee daily field operations on commercial construction projects, coordinating self-performed crews (concrete, steel, masonry) and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to quality standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on field leader with strong knowledge of construction methods, safety protocols, and the ability to manage crews effectively on multi-million-dollar projects.

Field Superintendent Responsibilities

• Supervise daily on-site construction activities and coordinate crews and subcontractors

• Enforce safety protocols, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies

• Manage schedules, order materials, and track project progress against timelines

• Monitor quality of self-performed structural work (concrete, steel, masonry)

• Communicate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and office staff to resolve issues quickly

• Support project managers and superintendents in maintaining budgets and schedules

Field Superintendent Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction supervision or field leadership experience

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and equipment

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Experience in commercial construction preferred

• Candidates with rural Minnesota ties strongly encouraged to apply (within ~75 miles of Alexandria)

Compensation & Benefits

• $75k–$110k base salary (depending on experience)
