We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Construction Field Technician to support active job sites through hands-on fieldwork, quality checks, and coordination with project teams. In this role, you will help ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and in alignment with project specifications and timelines. The ideal candidate is comfortable working outdoors, enjoys varied daily tasks, and takes pride in delivering reliable support in a fast-paced construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform field-based construction tasks in accordance with project plans, specifications, and safety requirements.
- Assist with site setup/layout, inspections, measurements, documentation, and quality checks.
- Perform pile and anchor load tests.
- Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and materials used on active job sites.
- Support project teams by identifying issues, reporting findings, and helping resolve field challenges.
- Follow all safety procedures and promote a safe work environment for self and others.
- Record accurate notes, photos, and field data for project tracking and reporting.
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, contractors, clients, and other team members.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or vocational education is a plus.
- Experience in construction, field service, inspection, surveying, utility work, or a related hands-on environment preferred.
- Ability to read and follow project instructions, basic drawings, and technical documentation, such as blueprints.
- Proficient in Microsoft products and Bluebeam Revu.
- Strong attention to detail with good problem-solving and communication skills.
- OSHA 30-hour certificate is preferred but must be obtained within first year of employment.
- Comfortable working outdoors and in a variety of weather and site conditions.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials or equipment as required by the role.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.
- Commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and professional conduct.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with site documentation, inspections, or quality control.
- Familiarity with construction safety practices and jobsite protocols.
- Basic proficiency with smartphones, tablets, or laptop-based reporting tools.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing field conditions.
